u can use a knife to do good things.
use the knife to cut your loaf of bread and your piece of meat.
make ur lunch. eat. and survive.

birthday cake.
now.
you use the knife to cut your cake, share it with people who are there with you on your birthday.
for that day you are less selfish than usual.
u feel like sharing.

a knife is important in the kitchen.
its sharp edge can help lighten a chore, make a job easier to do.
then again, a knife can hurt.
use it the wrong way whether you mean to or not, you can hurt somebody.
you can hurt yourself.
you can end relationships, cause silences in the family, cause havoc in the world.
you destroy a life, lives.
you can kill with a knife.
plunge it deep enough and u can take away a life.
you feel like God suddenly.
then become another criminal.
a knife empowers you.

a knife can destroy you too.
slash your wrists with a knife, stab someone.
if they dont die, if u dont die.
u live on.
with scars.
knives can leave ugly scars on you.
and maybe on the people you love.
the wound will heal.
since u are living on.
but then, the scars are there.
reminding you.

words are like knives.
be careful with what you say.
you never really know.
who is at the other end of you word-sword.
you may think a bit of poking your sharp tongue into another person's mind is good.
feels good to hurt.
sincere doesnt mean you go around hurting people with your flair of words.
so your friend is fat, the whole world might have already told her that.
you need not be the next one.
a knife can be useful.
your words can help.
so why use it to hurt instead?
u slash out with your words, you dont care.
so it feels good.
does it?

knives.
knives at the edge of my tongue.
the power in my speech to break or make someone.

knives.
you can't cut through water with a knife.
blood is thicker than water.
hence a knife shouldnt be able to cut through that either.
wrong when the knives are words.
